The Convention committee is currently planning for the next to be held in one of our states fine hotels. Look for announcements of the timing – usually in the spring.

If you are starting out in service, one of the great reasons to join our Convention committee is the long serving members on the committee to help new people. Each year, the immediate Past Delegate serves as the convention's chair – what a way to start a sober service life. There are opportunities for people who would like to assist in planning and preparing for an annual Convention, to serve fellow AA members as they gather for their yearly convention.

Each year the convention mails thousands of flyers – assistance with this mailing is always welcomed. Each year we have an Old Timers Panel, New Comers panel, and the Alkathon – these need staffing. People are needed to help organize the Greeters, staff the Movie Room, and assist in setting up for the speakers in the main conference room. Some of the most fun is to be a part of the entertainment committee – doing plays, Karaoke , and the Saturday night dance. No matter what your skill level, we have a place for you and we guarantee you will enjoy being a part of this committee. .

How to become a member of the Convention Committee
Contacting the Chair usually gets the ball rolling but appearing at the next committee meeting (above) provides an excellent opportunity to refine your interest.
